About

This website is dedicated toward building a community of enthusiasts interested in electronics, computers, engineering, and education.  The information and techniques you can find here will hopefully help you on your journey to in this rapidly-evolving field.

During your visit, we hope you can find time to share what you learn and also experiment with these emerging technologies for yourself!  And as always: stay curious!

About Unboxing Tomorrow

The idea of “unboxing tomorrow” is meant to inspire technology enthusiasts of all types to explore (i.e.: unbox) new ideas as they emerge.  Likewise, the unboxing tomorrow blog explores technologies of the past and the people behind them in order to foster a better understanding of how ideas developed over time.  With this in mind, this blog was created in 2019 to help you master past technologies, future technologies, and all points in between.

One of the best ways to learn is by doing.  Through this blog, we hope to spark a lifetime of passion for research and development (R&D), as well as safe, hands-on experimentation in a controlled environment.

Much of what goes on here starts at the hardware level and develops upward using software.  Presently, some key programming languages you may see from time to time include C, C++, C#, Java, Wiring (Arduino), Python, MATLAB, GNU Octave, LabVIEW, and my personal favorite…assembly language!   This blog will also dabble with machine learning through frameworks such as Tensor Flow, Scikit-Learn, and OpenCV.
